Description
The ZigZag Shift from Petzl is an openable, mechanical friction device for tree care, suitable for use on single rope technique (SRT) as well as on moving double rope technique (DRT). Unlike previous ZigZag models, no additional braking element is required for use on single rope. The device can be installed at any point on the rope and operates on the principle of classic friction hitch systems.
The mechanical prusik pulley features a locking chain made of friction links, allowing precise control and locking of the rope feed. Operation follows the same principle as previous ZigZag models, enabling smooth, controlled movement in the tree.
The design is engineered to withstand the high demands of tree care and reduces wear. Additionally, the ZigZag Shift is repairable: the upper part of the chain links can be replaced using a separately available repair kit.
