An expedition into the canopy is just a matter of time.
Professional tree climbers know how to install safety systems without damaging the trees. They also understand, that a forest’s primary reason for existence is not to become an adventure park. That aside, experts often use trees for recreational tree climbing in the city, woods, parks or around playgrounds.
Correct use means, that man’s dreams don’t become the tree’s nightmare, but still provide user with experience of nature and free climbing, improving self awareness and consciousness of your surroundings.
The holds are secured by means of sockets and tension belts. Depending on how many monkeys are being used, and depending on the angles and distances of their positions, different degrees of difficulty can be established. For children there is a special animal monkey set available, its holds are adapted to the smaller size of children’s hands.
IMPORTANT: Using monkeys still involves climbing high and is therefor considered sport climbing. It should only be done with adequate training and/or under the surveillance of trainers. Use a crash-pad on the ground, just to be on the safe side.
The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is under wear and tear and needs regular inspection in order to replace worn-out parts in time. If climbing higher than ten feet requires, you should abide by the rules of rock climbing (e.g. securing the climbing partner and abselling).
