Description
With the additional brake element CHICANE from Petzl, the mechanical ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS Prus Micro sheaves can also be used on single ropes. The brake friction during abseiling is increased by up to 40 percent and even during ascent a smooth passage of the rope through the CHICANE unit and the mechanical Prusik is guaranteed. When returning to the branch, the easy handling of the ergonomically shaped lever facilitates locomotion. The side part can be opened, so the rope can be inserted quickly and easily.
!! Attention!
Due to the specially shaped carabiner holder on the Chicane, only an H-shaped carabiner from the current Petzl OK and Am'D karabiner series can be used to connect Chicane to ZigZag or ZizZag Plus. For further details, see operating instructions.
