Description
The RIG by Petzl is a self-braking, compact descender. It was designed for use in hard-to-reach areas and rescue situations. Thanks to the auto-lock system, the release lever does not need to be operated separately for positioning in the work position: as soon as it is released, the device locks.
With the RIG, Petzl has omitted the anti-panic system. This makes the device smaller and more compact than the I’D – however, it is therefore only suitable for experienced users.
