Description
The Akimbo 2 is designed for use in stationary (SRS) and mobile (MRS) rope systems. The upper arm of the Akimbo 2 is equipped with an integrated spring that supports quick locking on the rope. A carabiner attachment point on the middle section allows the connection of a small carabiner to the chest harness – useful for guiding during ascent.
The friction settings can be adjusted without tools and are suitable for ropes with a diameter of 11.5 mm to 12.7 mm. All ropes according to EN 1891-A are approved for the Akimbo 2 – a special approval list is not required.
The compact device features adjustable rope contact surfaces that can be adapted to changing conditions and natural wear. It can be easily opened to place or remove the rope centrally. Replaceable components extend the service life.
