Description
The Rescue Banana is carried on the hip providing a perfect range of movement throughout the canopy.
Especially when climbing, the danger of an orthostatic shock means that the injured person must be quickly rescued out of the tree – this is easier with a well-prepared, optimized system. The Rescue Banana was developed according to the principle “Form follows Function”. It was developed through the exchange of numerous climbing instructors from all over Germany, from their experiences, ideas and considerations. Dirk Lingens and Gernot Räbel, both instructors of the Münchner Baumkletterschule, developed the Rescue Banana in cooperation with the Freeworker design workshop. In an emergency, it is wrapped around the hips and fits easily over the climbing harness and equipment. It is suitable for right and left handed users.
The set includes the following components:
• 1 RIG descender
• 1 Turn pulley as friction hitch pusher
• 6 m XP-e tree climbing rope (Ø 12,3 mm) with splice for the friction saver
• 1 Ropetooth knive
• 2 Inco O friction hitch slings (50 cm), 1 for the friction saver and 1 in-line anchor
• 1 Ocean Sling 8 friction hitch sling (76 cm) for the climbing system
• 60 m Industrie semi-static rope (Ø 10,5 mm) with sewn eye
• 5 OK Ball Lock oval carabiners
• 2 William Ball Lock HMS-carabiners
• 1 Mini D 80 carabiner
• 1 Sling 16 loop sling (120 cm)
• 1 Huit figure-8
• 1 Rescue-Banana hip bag (red) for the rescue system
