The Triple Thimble is a lightweight, hard-coated, sturdy rigging tool. It is used for lowering instead of a pulley or block. When it comes to small-to-medium loads, no additional basal lowering device is needed. The Triple Thimble adds friction to the rigging system for more safety by reducing anchor point stress. When maximum friction is needed for higher loads, the rigging line is woven through all three holes – fewer holes means less friction. It has no moving parts to wear out or damage.
These rings have to be spliced very tight and fixed, especially with hollow braids like the Tenex TEC or double braids like the Bull Rope or Polydyne. We splice slings with the SafeBloc to order.
